Optaric Guard - a platform of choices

All Guard devices feature the latest in AI-capable mobile computing, based on the AR1+ chipset from Qualcomm. Every device runs a full version of the Android AOSP operating system, which controls the dual cameras, multiple microphones, and stereo speakers for a rich, immersive experience, while keeping the wearer fully aware of their surrounding enterprise environment.

Each Optaric Guard device can run as a standalone unit, with its own CPU, operating system, and battery, or be configured as an accessory to an IT-managed smartphone using the Optaric Link software bridge. This way, Guard devices don't need to attach directly to the enterprise network, making them better suited to IT policy for large-scale deployment.

Link is an app that lives on iPhone or Android and controls data in and out of the glasses. Third-party applications can be written against the Link SDK to access that data while keeping it contained on the phone, not the glasses.

The result: Optaric Guard can be introduced to an enterprise quickly, without the burden of a lengthy security review — because it behaves as a thin client. Data and apps are no longer stored on the glasses; they always remain on the IT-managed phone.

Optaric Link is a software platform that lets the normally standalone Guard glasses become an accessory to a smartphone. Guard can then be deployed alongside MDM-managed corporate phones and never needs to touch the corporate network - one less attack surface, and one fewer hurdle for IT and InfoSec to navigate.
